The Wealthy Theatre & Annex

The $2 million restoration of the Theatre proved to be the keystone to the continued rejuvenation of the area. The Theatre is a now a thriving multi-cultural arts and entertainment center like none else in the city.

The Bakery has served as a model business in the district serving both the local community and as a destination for people outside of the area.

Now restored to its original 50's look it has shown that Historic renovation covers a wide spectrum.


Bazzani Associates

Bazzani Associates has truly transformed this corner of our community. The $3 million renovation of the Helmus, Frederick & Douglas buildings now house Armenta Studio, Square One Design, Rock Solid Granite as well as private residences.

When the need for new space arose this homegrown business decided to stay in the neighborhood by purchasing and renovating a building of their own.

The Klein Building

The owners of Acanthus Antiques saw the potential of Wealthy Street early on and located their business at 1134 Wealthy. As the business grew they chose to stay on Wealthy and purchased and renovated a building to expand and house their store.

The building is currently under renovation. The boards have come off the front and now a first floor retail space is available for lease with offices on the second floor.


Tillman Retail Center

This former McDonald's site now host a variety of neighborhood service including Spin City Laundry Center, Divine Diva's Salon, Jamaican Dave's Take-Out & a Senior Food Bank.


Verhey Carpets

A veteran of the street for more than 40 years Verhey Carpets has recently gotten a facelift. New windows and awnings now front the street returning a vital sense of transparency to the area.


Community Rebuilders

Renovations are scheduled to begin soon that will re-open the front of the building into a leaseable storefront while moving office and community service to the upper floor.
