Architectural Assistance Program. This city-wide program provides up to $2500 for architectural design assistance to building and business owners. For more information contact the Neighborhood Business Specialists Program at (616) 771-0346.

Facade & Landscape Improvement Program (FLIP). Buildings and businesses located in the Wealthy District are eligible to apply for this grant program. Funds may be used for windows, doors, landscaping, signage, lights, awnings and more. Grants are awarded up to $3000 for improving storefronts and buildings. Neighborhood Business Facade Improvement Program. This city-wide program provides up to $5000 for facade improvements including painting, exterior lighting, signage, awnings, windows, restoration work and attached landscaping. The program requires that applicants show a 20% match, the building not be vacant, and that no work be done on the building six months prior or after the granted project.
